Listing Guidelines

VG Communities is a directory of video game communities. These guidelines keep it useful for players and fair for owners. Every listing is reviewed by a person before it goes live, usually within 48 hours.

Who can submit

  • You must own or help run the community you are listing (owner, admin or staff).
  • One listing per community. If your community plays several games, pick the main one and select every platform you support.

What a listing must include

  • An accurate name, game, type, platforms, region and language.
  • A short description (120 characters) and a full description that explains what members can expect.
  • At least one working way to join: a Discord invite, a website or a server address.
  • A banner that is your own artwork or licensed for your use. Logos and screenshots are optional.

What we do not accept

  • Pay-to-win advertising, gambling, account selling or real-money trading.
  • Hate speech, harassment, sexual content involving minors or anything illegal.
  • Misleading information, fake member counts or links that do not match the listing.
  • Communities that exist only to promote another service.

Keeping your listing current

Update your details when your player count, platforms or links change. Listings with broken invites or no activity for 90 days are retired. You can request changes to a published listing from your dashboard.

Reports and removals

Anyone can report a listing from its page. We review every report and remove listings that break these guidelines. Repeated or serious breaches can lead to the account being closed.
